I have a good friend named Brian Miller, but you might know him as his stage name- The Great Zindini! He is, in fact, the singing, dancing, and magic-ing (not to mention writing, choreographing, and composing!) talent behind Paramount Great America's The Magic Hat. He isn't particularly famous yet, but he will be soon! And I'll be proud to be the person he goes to for advice when he wants to make a costume or a plushie. Actually I'm already proud of that.
Anyway, he wanted a magic rabbit for his magic act! And I said "no problem!" ...And then I procrastinated and didn't work on it for about six months. Sorry Brian! Anyway, I finally finished it and it's very cute! Although it's not crochet... He said he wanted it to be fabric with obvious stitching and button eyes, so that's what I did.
I actually had tons of doubts about this project (a big reason why it took me so long!) and didn't think it would be any good until I finished it's face. I was seriously writing apologies in my head for how bad it was going to be as I was working on it! I figured I'd send it to him with a dozen apologies, post a picture in scraps, and put the whole thing behind me. Then suddenly magic happened and it turned into one of the cutest things ever! So it must really be a magic rabbit. I'm really happy with how it turned out in the end! So happy I'm posting it here. Even though it's not crochet. So let that be an inspirational message to all my fellow artists out there! Sometimes you are working on a project and you are sure it will be crap, and it turns out great. So just stick to it and finish! Who knows what will happen!
